What We Expect from Our Partners

We expect our partners to actively grow in their faith, serve with humility, give generously, and live on mission with us as we follow Jesus together.

Because we KNOW God, we exist to LIVE by faith, be known by LOVE, and REACH those far from God. Let's break that down.

  • Submit to the authority of the Scriptures as the final arbiter on all issues (Ps. 119; 2 Tim. 3:14-17; 2 Pet. 1:19-21).
  • Pursue the Lord Jesus Christ through regular Bible reading, prayer, fellowship, and spiritual disciplines (Luke 18:1; Acts 17:11; 1 Cor. 9:24-27; Eph. 5:1-21; 1 Thess. 5:12-22).
  • Follow the command and example of Jesus by:
    • Being baptized after conversion.
    • Regularly celebrating communion.
  • Participate regularly in the life of Crossroads Church through services, discipleship, and serving (Acts 2:42-47; Heb. 10:23-25; Titus 3:14).
  • Steward the resources God has given — time, talents, spiritual gifts, and finances — with sacrificial, cheerful, and voluntary giving (Matt. 25:14-30; Rom. 12:1-2; 2 Cor. 8-9; 1 Pet. 4:10-11).
  • Walk in holiness in all areas of life as worship to Jesus, by grace through the Holy Spirit (1 Pet. 1:13-16, 4:1-3).
  • Put sinful attitudes and actions to death, stirring up love and good deeds through the Spirit.
  • Refrain from foolish activities as outlined in Scripture (Rom. 14:14-23).
  • When I sin:
    • Confess my sin to God and fellow believers.
    • Repent and seek help to put sin to death (Rom. 8:13; Col. 3:5; James 5:16; 1 John 1:6-10).
  • Participate regularly in church life by engaging in community and service (Acts 2:42-47; Heb. 10:23-25; Titus 3:14).
  • Take Christian freedom seriously, avoiding stumbling blocks for others (1 Cor. 8:1-13).
  • Submit to church pastors and leaders and strive for unity and peace (Eph. 4:1-3; Heb. 13:17; 1 Pet. 5:5).
  • If I leave the church for righteous reasons:
    • Notify the appropriate staff member.
    • Seek another church where I can fulfill my biblical responsibilities as a believer.
  • Commit to taking the Gospel to our neighbors and to the nations (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).
